| I am Joshua Williams, 17 years old and I aspire to work in the photography industry as I am enthusiastic about using digital cameras, computers and many aspects of photography to show what I am capable of. During my early lifetime, I have been using cameras to create memories of the moments in my life, and now I hope to create memories of moments in other's lives and of my surroundings. I have completed a short course in Digital Photography and I have also done a work shadowing week at the Oldham Chronicle from the 6th to the 9th of April working with the photo editors and learning how photography is used in businesses and organisations. I have also participated in the Festival of Diversity in Oldham as a Photography Assistant thoroughly enjoyed demonstrating my abiltiy to use a camera. I intend to move on from my studies at Oldham Sixth Form to do an Art and Design pre-degree course at Oldham College to build up a portfolio. Building up from there, I would like to apply for Photography at the Manchester Metropolitian University which I have attended an Open Day for. I believe this is a good choice for me as I have discussed with the current tutor of the course what I'd like to gain from the studies. |
